A 17-year-old from Elora is facing multiple charges after a pickup truck carrying three people left the road and rolled into a ditch in South Bruce Peninsula on Saturday morning.
Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said emergency crews were called to Mar Sideroad near Berford Park Road shortly before 11:30 a.m. following reports of a single-vehicle collision.
Investigators determined that the pickup truck had veered off the roadway and overturned into a ditch. One occupant became trapped inside and had to be freed by emergency crews.
All three occupants were taken to hospital for further medical treatment. Police have not provided details about the extent of their injuries.
The 17-year-old driver has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to wear a seatbelt, stunt driving and failing to report a collision.
The teenager was released from custody and is expected to appear in Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
