The incident occurred around 2:25 p.m. at the intersection of Harwood Avenue North and Rossland Road East. Officers responded to reports that a 16-year-old girl had been struck by a southbound Mini Cooper.

She was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with significant injuries. Authorities have not provided an update on her condition.
