A devastating collision at the intersection of Highway 59 and Quaker Street on the afternoon of March 31 resulted in three fatalities and two critical injuries. The crash, which occurred around 3 p.m., involved an SUV and a transport truck.
Authorities confirmed that those who died were a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old from Tillsonburg, along with a 39-year-old driver from Cambridge. The adult was operating the SUV, while the two teens were passengers.
Two additional occupants of the SUV survived but were left with life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders transported one victim by air ambulance and the other by ground ambulance. The transport truck driver was unharmed.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash and are asking anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage to come forward or contact them or Crime Stoppers.
