Three people were hurt in a crash in Scarborough on Saturday evening after a vehicle flipped onto its side and pinned a pedestrian against a building. Emergency crews were called to the Kennedy Road and Highway 401 area around 6:45 p.m.

Police say the vehicle struck a pole, then crashed into a building, hitting the pedestrian. Fire crews carried out a complex rescue, stabilizing the vehicle and cutting open the roof to free the driver and passenger before handing them over to paramedics.

All three were taken to hospital. The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the two occupants, both in their 70s, sustained minor injuries.
