A serious multi-vehicle collision in Newmarket late Saturday afternoon left two people injured, including one in critical condition. The crash, involving five vehicles, occurred near Davis Drive and Jane Street shortly after 4:30 p.m., according to York Regional Police.
Emergency services, including fire and EMS, responded to the scene. A female victim was reported to be in life-threatening condition, while the extent of injuries to a male victim remains unclear.
Davis Drive and Jane Street are currently closed as the Major Collision Bureau investigates. Police are advising motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
