Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a major house fire on Herbert Street Tuesday morning, sending three people to hospital, including one with life-threatening injuries.
Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Oshell said crews were called to the scene near Second Avenue in Minnow Lake around 8 a.m. The blaze caused extensive smoke damage but was brought under control shortly after firefighters arrived.
The fire, which is not considered suspicious, caused an estimated $250,000 in damage.
