A kitchen fire in a Kitchener townhouse on Green Valley Drive led to three people being treated for smoke inhalation on Saturday. Emergency crews were called to the scene around noon after smoke detectors alerted the residents, who safely evacuated and contacted 911.
Firefighters from nearby Station 6 arrived promptly and contained the blaze. The fire caused an estimated $300,000 in damage, and the affected residents have been displaced. The cause of the fire is not considered suspicious.
