Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 28-year-old man from Thunder Bay with multiple impaired driving-related offenses following a crash on Highway 11/17 early Saturday morning. Officers responded to the scene near John Street around 12:50 a.m. on September 20, where they determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol.
The man was taken into custody and transported to an OPP detachment for further testing. He faces charges of dangerous driving, failure to surrender his license, and three impaired driving offenses, including driving with a blood alcohol concentration above 80 and as a novice driver with a BAC over zero.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court on October 22.
