A 27-year-old Toronto man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte late Monday night, in what police believe was a road rage-related incident. The collision happened around 10:30 p.m. north of Line 15, prompting multiple 911 calls about a person lying on the road near a motorcycle.

When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist with fatal injuries. Witnesses reported an altercation involving a pickup truck and the motorcycle prior to the crash. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene but showed signs of impairment and was arrested.

The accused, a 37-year-old Bracebridge man, faces several serious charges, including impaired and dangerous driving causing death, obstruction, and multiple vehicle-related offenses such as driving while suspended and without insurance. The OPP’s Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
