A Toronto police officer was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle during a traffic stop in Scarborough on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. near Lawrence Avenue East and Midland Avenue. Police say the officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
After hitting the officer, the suspect’s vehicle also collided with another car, though no one in that vehicle was injured. The driver fled the scene but was located and arrested a short time later, according to police.
