A person sustained life-threatening injuries after a collision between a tractor and a train in New Tecumseth, north of Vaughan, on Tuesday afternoon. Ontario Provincial Police say emergency crews responded to the crash near 11th and 12th Line at 4:46 p.m.
The injured individual was airlifted to a trauma centre. No one aboard the train was hurt. The collision caused both roads to be blocked for several hours, with full reopening occurring at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday.
