A tractor-trailer fire caused a major traffic disruption on the QEW in Hamilton Thursday morning.
The blaze broke out in the Fort Erie-bound lanes near Nikola Tesla Boulevard, just past the Skyway Bridge. Fire crews responded quickly, and no injuries were reported.
Although two lanes reopened around 8:20 a.m., significant cleanup was needed to remove the damaged vehicle. Drivers were advised to expect lane closures in the area for most of the day as the cleanup continued.
