Ontario Provincial Police are searching for the driver of a transport truck accused of leaving the scene of a crash on Highway 401 Wednesday morning.
Police say that shortly before 7 a.m., the truck was travelling eastbound and weaving through traffic when it rear-ended another vehicle at roughly 105 km/h. That impact caused the struck vehicle to collide with a minivan, forcing the minivan off the road and into a ditch west of Veterans Memorial Parkway.
One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Investigators also recovered a piece of red debris believed to have broken off the transport truck during the crash.
OPP are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact police.
