A transport truck fire caused major traffic delays on Highway 401 westbound through Woodstock on Thursday morning. The incident occurred in Oxford Township, prompting Ontario Provincial Police to close the westbound lanes between Mill Street and Folden’s Line around 11:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported. Emergency crews responded quickly and managed the scene for about three hours, with all westbound lanes reopening by 2:30 p.m. Detours were set up to redirect traffic during the closure.
