A section of Trafalgar Road north of Hillsburgh was closed Tuesday morning after a transport truck caught fire and leaked fuel.

Fire crews were called to the scene and found the truck fully engulfed in flames. According to Erin Fire Chief Ted Michael, the blaze damaged the vehicle’s diesel tanks, causing fuel to spill onto the roadway.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported. The Ontario Provincial Police assisted by managing traffic between Erin Garafraxa Townline and Sideroad 27. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
