Two drivers are facing charges after a weekend crash in Cambridge involving an Audi SUV and a Honda sedan.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Elgin Street North and Ferguson Avenue at about 11:45 a.m. on Sunday. The Honda driver, a 37-year-old man, and two children in the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries, while the 72-year-old Audi driver was uninjured.

Police say their investigation led to charges against both drivers. The Honda driver was cited for improper signaling and not properly securing child passengers, while the Audi driver was charged with failing to yield to through traffic.

Authorities are also reminding caregivers to ensure child car seats are correctly installed and used according to manufacturer instructions to help minimize injuries in crashes.
