Two people are in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash in North York overnight, according to Toronto police.

Officers were called to the scene at Don Mills Road and Barber Greene Road around 12:16 a.m. after reports of a collision involving two vehicles, one of which struck a hydro pole and both of which caught fire.

The drivers, both in their 20s, were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Don Mills Road remains closed at Barber Greene Road as police and a reconstruction team investigate the crash. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
