A man in his 30s was rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon after his e-scooter was struck by a vehicle in North York. Toronto police responded to the collision near Jane Street and Frith Road, north of Sheppard Avenue West, at around 3:23 p.m.

The man suffered serious, possibly life-threatening injuries, according to Toronto paramedics. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the incident.

At around 4:15 p.m., police and paramedics responded to a collision involving an e-scooter at Weston Road and Finch Avenue West. The female rider was taken to a trauma center with serious, though non-life-threatening, injuries, according to paramedics. The driver of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene, police reported.
