Two elderly women were seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while crossing an intersection in Burlington on Friday night.
Halton Regional Police said the collision occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. near Fairview Street and Drury Lane. The pedestrians were crossing the roadway when they were hit by a vehicle.
Both women were transported to hospital with serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
