Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a bouncy castle overturned during strong winds at a Scarborough shopping plaza on Wednesday evening.
Toronto police said emergency crews responded to Bridlewood Mall at about 5:53 p.m. after the inflatable attraction flipped over. Toronto paramedics also assessed two additional people at the scene, but they did not require hospital treatment.
Toronto Fire said the bouncy castle was blown over as winds intensified, prompting firefighters to search the inflatable structure to ensure no one was trapped inside.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour has been notified and dispatched an inspector to the site. The incident remains under investigation.
