More than 400 London residents lost power after a vehicle struck a hydro pole in the Old East Village Monday afternoon, marking the city’s second pole-related crash of the day.
The collision, reported around 2:20 p.m., led police to close Dundas Street in both directions near McCormick Boulevard. Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area, as the road is expected to remain closed for several hours while London Hydro repairs the pole.
