A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 8 Saturday afternoon sent two people to the hospital and caused heavy traffic. According to Ontario Provincial Police, the collision involved two small sedans and an SUV.
An elderly woman and a man in his 30s were taken to the hospital with minor injuries as a precaution. By 4 p.m., traffic near the Highway 7 on-ramp was backed up in a stop-and-go pattern.
Police advised drivers to stay alert, maintain safe distances, and be cautious on the road. All lanes have since been reopened.
