A driver has been charged with careless driving after crashing into a construction crash truck on Highway 417 near Panmure Road in Ottawa’s west end Tuesday morning.
The crash truck was protecting workers who were removing pylons when it was struck. Both the driver and a construction worker sustained minor injuries. The charge carries a $490 fine and three demerit points.
Police are reminding motorists to use extra caution in construction zones to help ensure everyone’s safety.
