A 21-year-old woman from Constance Lake First Nation faces multiple charges following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 655 involving a stolen car, Ontario Provincial Police say.

The collision occurred around 6:20 p.m. Monday in Calder Township. One of the vehicles had been reported stolen earlier that day from Hearst. A passenger in the other vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the stolen car sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Highway 655 was closed between Kidd Creek Mine Road in Timmins and Highway 11 in Driftwood for roughly five hours during the response.

The woman has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and driving without a licence. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Cochrane court on April 7. OPP say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
