A serious two-vehicle collision in Perth County on Friday afternoon left a motorcycle rider with critical injuries and another driver injured.

Ontario Provincial Police said the crash occurred around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Perth Road 107 and Perth Line 47. The 36-year-old motorcyclist from Shakespeare was airlifted by ORNGE to a trauma centre, while the 87-year-old SUV driver from Stratford suffered minor injuries.

Following the collision, authorities shut down Perth Road 107 between Perth Line 45 and Perth Line 51, along with Perth Line 47 from Perth Road 106 to Perth Road 108, as the investigation continued. The intersection reopened around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
