Two men lost their lives in a head-on collision Wednesday night on Highway 28 near Trout Lake Road, close to Denbigh, Ontario. The crash occurred shortly before 8 p.m., according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
Renfrew County Paramedics confirmed that one of the drivers died at the scene, while the other succumbed shortly after resuscitation efforts. No passengers were involved, and no additional injuries were reported.
Emergency crews, including the Denbigh Fire Department, responded to the crash. The victims’ identities have not yet been confirmed. Highway 28, which was temporarily closed, reopened early Thursday morning. The OPP continues to investigate the incident. Denbigh is located approximately 160 kilometers west of Ottawa.
