Two separate pedestrian collisions in Riverdale on Wednesday evening sent two people to hospital.
Emergency crews first responded to Broadview and Riverdale avenues around 5:30 p.m., where a woman in her 50s was struck and suffered serious injuries. About half an hour later, another pedestrian was hit near Queen Street East and Leslie Street and was taken to hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
In both cases, the drivers stayed at the scene, and the causes of the collisions have not yet been determined.
