Two pedestrians were hospitalized with serious, life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Scarborough on Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Midland and Tara avenues, north of Eglinton Avenue East.
A 62-year-old man was driving a silver Toyota Highlander north on Midland Avenue when he struck a 15-year-old boy and a 19-year-old woman who were crossing the street. The driver stayed at the scene, and police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
