Two pedestrians were taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by vehicles in separate incidents in Richmond Hill Thursday morning.
The first collision happened shortly before 7:50 a.m. at Major Mackenzie Drive and Spadina Road. Police say the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and the driver remained at the scene.
Major Mackenzie Drive was closed between Spadina Road and Boake Trail as investigators examined the crash.
About an hour later, emergency crews responded to another pedestrian collision near Major Mackenzie Drive and Forestwood Street. Police say the second pedestrian also suffered serious injuries, while the driver remained at the scene.
Major Mackenzie Drive was expected to be closed between Bayview Avenue and Leslie Street for several hours as police investigated the second collision.
