Barrie police are investigating a crash between a car and a motorcycle that occurred Saturday evening, sending both drivers to the hospital.
The collision took place around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Minet’s Point Road. Police believe the car was making a left turn when it collided with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was initially taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a trauma center in Toronto. The car’s driver sustained minor injuries and was also hospitalized. The intersection was closed until 2 a.m. while the Barrie police traffic unit conducted their investigation. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
