Two people were taken to hospital after a vehicle collided with a TTC streetcar in downtown Toronto early Wednesday, briefly disrupting service on a major transit route.
Paramedics were called to the scene around 4 a.m. and treated two patients. One person was transported with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the second sustained minor injuries.
Emergency crews confirmed the crash involved an SUV and a 501 Queen streetcar. The collision forced temporary detours along Spadina Avenue, King Street West and Shaw Street, though regular service has since resumed.
Police have not yet released details on the cause of the crash.
