A two-vehicle collision on Highway 402 caused major traffic disruptions Thursday, closing the westbound lanes between Colonel Talbot Road and Longwoods Road.
Police say the crash occurred near the Miller Road overpass shortly before 9:30 a.m., with one vehicle catching fire following the collision. Two people were taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Traffic was diverted onto Longwoods Road while emergency crews investigated and cleared the scene. The highway was expected to reopen later Thursday afternoon.
