Two people have died following a motorcycle collision with a sedan in Welland on Saturday morning.
Niagara Regional Police Service said officers responded to the crash near Ontario Road and Hobson Avenue at about 8:20 a.m. A man riding the motorcycle died at the scene despite attempts by officers to save his life.
A woman who was also riding the motorcycle was transported by Niagara Emergency Medical Services to an out-of-region hospital, where she later died.
Police said the pair were travelling on a black Yamaha motorcycle when it collided with a black Honda Civic. The driver of the Honda was not injured.
Investigators are asking anyone with video footage from the area around the time of the collision to contact police.
