Two people escaped with minor injuries after a small aircraft made an emergency landing in a field near Fergus, Ont., on Tuesday evening.
Ontario Provincial Police said the incident happened around 5:15 p.m. near Beatty Line between Sideroad 10 and Sideroad 5.
Investigators say the general aviation aircraft encountered engine trouble, forcing the pilot to carry out an emergency landing. Two people were on board at the time of the incident.
Both occupants suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital for assessment.
Police also confirmed that Transport Canada has been notified and is aware of the occurrence.
