Two people were injured in a midday crash near Killaloe on Friday, according to Ontario Provincial Police, with one driver needing emergency air transport for treatment. The collision, involving a van and an SUV, happened around noon at the intersection of Foymount Road and Sebastopol Drive.

Police said a 34-year-old was rescued from the van and flown by Air Ornge to a trauma centre with serious injuries. The second driver, a 53-year-old woman, was taken to hospital by ground ambulance. The intersection is located roughly 60 kilometres southwest of Pembroke.

The roadway was closed for several hours while investigators worked at the scene and reopened around 6 p.m. Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact OPP.
