Two people were assessed for possible smoke inhalation after an early morning house fire in Etobicoke.
Crews were called to a home on The East Mall near Dundas Street West around 12:20 a.m., where they encountered heavy smoke upon arrival. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the blaze before it spread further.
Toronto Fire says the two occupants were treated by paramedics at the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
