Two women were critically injured in a crash involving a transport truck on Highway 401 early Wednesday morning.
The collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. when a transport truck sideswiped a white SUV, causing the vehicle to lose control. Both the SUV driver and passenger were taken to a Toronto hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The westbound ramp from Highway 401 to Highway 427 was closed for police investigation before reopening approximately 11 hours later.
