Two separate collisions on the Don Valley Parkway caused significant traffic disruptions during Tuesday morning’s commute.
The first crash occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Dundas Street East and involved a GO bus along with multiple vehicles. Passengers on the bus were transferred to another vehicle, and no injuries were reported among those onboard. One person involved in the collision sustained minor injuries.
A second crash involving two vehicles occurred in the southbound lanes near Gerrard Street East about 10 minutes later. While no injuries were reported, police arrested one individual on suspicion of impaired driving.
Both incidents led to lane blockages and heavy delays in both directions of the DVP. The scenes were cleared by 10 a.m., allowing traffic to resume normal flow.
