Two people were seriously injured in a crash involving three commercial vehicles on Highway 401, west of Morrisburg, Ontario, Friday morning.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene near the Morrisburg off-ramp at around 10:20 a.m., where firefighters, police, and paramedics worked to assist those involved. One individual was airlifted to an Ottawa trauma center by Air Ornge.
The highway was closed temporarily, causing traffic delays, but it has since reopened. The OPP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and is asking anyone with relevant information to contact SD&G OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
