A 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were arrested by Windsor police following a crash involving a stolen vehicle on October 2. Officers responded to a collision on Assumption Street, near the 600 block, shortly before 5 p.m.
Investigations revealed that the 14-year-old had stolen a car in Harrow and was speeding through the streets, nearly hitting pedestrians. The vehicle eventually collided with another car. Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The boy, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces charges including possession of property obtained by crime worth over $5,000, vehicle theft, and dangerous driving. The 16-year-old female passenger, who was unharmed in the crash, also faces charges related to possessing stolen property.
