A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision in North York on Thursday morning, according to Toronto police.

Officers were called to the area of Bathurst Street and Melrose Avenue, just north of Renee Avenue, around 7:20 a.m. Police say airbags deployed in both vehicles involved in the crash.

The male victim was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No further details about the other driver were released.

Bathurst Street remains closed at Melrose Avenue as the investigation continues. Drivers are being warned to expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes.
