A 45-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle collision at a rural intersection in Uxbridge on Friday afternoon.
Durham Regional Police say the crash occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. at Sandford Road and Uxbridge Concession Road 3, involving a southbound 2001 Acura sedan and an eastbound 2024 Ford F-150.
The Acura’s passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The sedan’s 53-year-old driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Toronto trauma centre.
The 46-year-old man driving the pickup truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
