A Toronto police officer was taken to hospital after a crash involving a police vehicle in the city’s west end on Saturday evening.
The collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the Beaconsfield Village neighbourhood, near the intersection of Dufferin Street and Peel Avenue, just north of Queen Street West. Police say the crash involved a patrol vehicle and another motorist.
The officer was transported to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution, while the driver of the other vehicle was not taken to hospital.
Road closures were put in place in the area as Toronto police Traffic Services investigated the incident.
