Emergency crews responded Wednesday morning to a crash on Highway 400 just south of Innisfil Beach Road involving a tractor trailer and an SUV. Early reports indicate both drivers were able to exit their vehicles, and Innisfil Fire Rescue says one person was injured, though the severity is still unknown.
Both vehicles remain in the southbound ditch, and fire crews are using trucks and blockers to secure the area until provincial transportation units arrive. Traffic continues to move but at a reduced pace, and motorists are being urged to drive cautiously and expect sudden slowdowns.
The cause of the collision has not yet been determined, though it occurred while a snowfall warning was in effect.
