A collision involving two vehicles caused major delays on the Toronto-bound Queen Elizabeth Way near Stoney Creek during Monday morning’s commute.

The crash occurred near Nikola Tesla Boulevard and blocked at least three lanes heading toward Toronto, leaving only the right lane open to traffic for much of the morning.

Authorities reported that a truck was involved in the incident, but its driver left the scene before police arrived.

The lane closures remained in effect for several hours before the roadway was fully reopened shortly after 10 a.m. It is not yet known whether anyone was injured in the collision.
