A stretch of westbound Highway 403 in Brantford was shut down Sunday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision near Oak Park Road.
Ontario Provincial Police say the crash prompted a response from emergency crews, though the severity of any injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes as investigators worked at the scene and traffic delays built in the surrounding area.
