Two women were taken to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a retirement residence in Orléans Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded shortly after 3 p.m. to the Chapel Hill Retirement Residence near Pagé Road and Innes Road following a two-vehicle collision that sent one car into the building.
Police said a resident was inside the facility at the time and was transported to hospital with serious but stable injuries. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
The crash caused damage near the building’s entrance, and the vehicle remained inside the structure while crews assessed the scene. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
