A 19-year-old man from Vaughan died Saturday morning after his snowmobile collided with a commercial vehicle in Cochrane, Ontario. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. at the intersection of OFSC Trail A and 2nd Street.
Emergency responders transported the young man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
Police temporarily closed the roads and trail to investigate, reopening them later that evening. The Ontario Provincial Police, working with the Chief Coroner’s Office, continue to investigate the collision. Anyone with information is urged to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
