A crash in Tecumseh on Sunday morning led to a significant power outage affecting over 4,200 residents. Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Kavanagh confirmed that emergency services received a call around 7:30 a.m. reporting a downed wire. As a result, Tecumseh Road East was closed between Lesperance Road and Lacasse Boulevard.

No injuries were reported. Essex Powerlines Corporation initially reported that 4,245 customers were without power. By late morning, power had been restored to 3,593 customers, with approximately 652 still without electricity as crews continued their work.
