Brantford Police reported a collision on West Street Thursday morning that knocked down a hydro pole, leading to power outages and repairs.
The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. between Edmondson Drive and Morton Avenue, when a vehicle struck the pole. The driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Hydro crews were dispatched to repair the damaged lines, with GrandBridge Energy reporting an outage affecting 24 customers near Byrne Street. The estimated restoration time is 4 p.m.
The public is urged to avoid the area while repairs are underway.
